Grilled Doves

  • Dove breasts- as many needed to feed the group.
  • 5-6 jalapeno peppers.
  • 1 white or yellow onion.
  • pack of bacon
  • tooth picks.


Take dove breasts and cut a slit down both sides of the backbone. On one side but a piece of jalapeno pepper and on the other a piece of onion. Rap the dove with a piece of bacon and then secure with a toothpick. Spinkle your favorite seasoning (Tony's) to the entire dove breast. Then place on grill til bacon becomes golden brown. Can also put your favorite barbecue sauce on it if you prefer. (My friends do but I like mine plain) if you try this I don't think you'll be disappointed.
